Work With US

We are a commercial cleaning company in Manhattan that puts its crews on payroll, trains them before their first shift, and names them on the building roster. If you are looking for night janitorial, day porter or floor-care work in New York, this is the page to start on.

What We Are Usually Hiring For

Openings move with the accounts we take on. Send your details even if nothing below matches exactly — routes open in every borough through the year.

Night Janitorial — Office Routes

After-hours cleaning of commercial office floors: trash and recycling, restrooms, pantries, vacuuming, dusting and touch points, on a written scope. Most routes start between 6pm and 8pm. Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Westchester, Long Island and Bergen County.

Day Porter

Daytime presence in a single building or a small cluster: lobbies, common areas, restrooms, spills and whatever the day produces. Front-of-house work, so it suits someone comfortable around tenants and visitors.

Floor Care Technician

Machine work — scrubbing, buffing, burnishing, stripping and refinishing, carpet extraction. Experience with floor machines is a real advantage here and is paid accordingly.

Supervisor

Walking the work nightly, verifying attendance, logging variances against the scope and producing the monthly inspection score clients receive. Requires cleaning experience and enough English or Spanish to run a crew and write a clear report.

What You Get From US

A Real Employer

W-2 payroll, workers' compensation and disability coverage. Not a 1099 arrangement dressed up as flexibility.

Training Before You Are Alone

Chemicals and dilution, equipment, floor types, restroom protocol and cross-contamination control — then supervised shifts before you take a route.

The Route in Writing

You know the building, the hours, the scope and the pay rate before you accept. No being sent somewhere different on the night.

Your Name on the Building Roster

You are registered and badged with the managing agent under your own name, not signed in as somebody else's substitute.

Equipment and Supplies Provided

Machines, chemicals and consumables come from us. You are not asked to buy your own equipment to do the job.

A Supervisor Who Shows Up

Someone walks the work daily. That means problems get solved rather than becoming your fault three weeks later.

How to Apply

Fill in the form and we will come back to you. If a route matching your area and hours is open, the next step is a short conversation and a background check; if nothing matches right now we keep your details for openings in your borough.

You can also call (917) 451-7812 or email info@a-zmanhattancleaning.com with “Application” in the subject line.

Working Here: Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous commercial cleaning experience?
For most openings, no. We train before your first shift on chemicals and dilution, equipment, floor-type safety, restroom protocol and cross-contamination control, and you work supervised before you are given a route of your own. Experience helps for floor-care and day-porter roles.
Are these W-2 positions or 1099?
W-2 employees on payroll, with workers' compensation and disability coverage. We do not staff accounts through labour brokers or subcontracted crews.
What are the hours?
Most cleaning routes run after business hours, typically starting between 6pm and 8pm on weeknights. Day porter roles run during business hours. Weekend-only routes exist as well. We tell you the schedule and the building before you accept.
What is checked before I start?
Identity and work authorisation, a criminal background check, and previous employers actually called. Most buildings we work in also register you by name with the managing agent and issue you a badge before your first shift.
How does pay work?
Hourly, paid on a regular schedule, with the rate stated in writing before you accept a role. Rates depend on the route, the building and whether the position requires floor-machine or specialty experience.
