The Kinds of Commercial Space We Clean
Offices, retail, hospitality, fitness, industrial and everything between. Each image links to the guide or the service page that explains how that space is scoped, priced and checked — because a photograph tells you nothing about what a contract actually covers.

Nightly service on open-plan floors: desks, monitors, circulation routes and the touch points everyone shares. Priced per square foot, with the labour hours stated in the agreement.
Why two quotes differ by 40% →
Core janitorial: floors, waste, restrooms and restocking, on a written frequency schedule. Our cleaners are trained, screened, bonded and checked by a supervisor daily.
Janitorial services →
Machine work after hours — scrubbing, buffing and restoration on hard floors that a mop cannot recover. Usually the difference between a floor that lasts eight years and one that lasts four.
Winter salt is destroying your floors →
The routes everyone walks and nobody specifies. Corridors carry the most soil in the building and are the first place a cut in cleaner-hours becomes visible.
Office cleaning →
Front-of-house space where cleaning is a first impression rather than a maintenance task. Usually day porter coverage rather than a night-only route.
Day porter services →
Rooms that are judged by clients rather than by staff, and that need to be reset rather than just cleaned — glass, table surfaces, chairs squared, cabling tidy.
Law firm cleaning →
Desk-level detail and shared touch points. This is the first area quietly dropped when a vendor reduces hours, because the feedback delay is long.
Why cleaning gets worse at 90 days →
Work that happens between the last person leaving and the first arriving. Access, keys and alarm codes are handled through your managing agent, with every cleaner badged under their own name.
Who is in your office at 11pm? →
Vacuuming on a documented pattern, plus periodic extraction. Grit walked in from a New York sidewalk is abrasive, and carpet that is not maintained wears out on a schedule you can predict.
Floor & carpet care →
Interior glass, partitions and entrance doors. Anything above ground level on the exterior is a separate specialty service under different regulations — we will tell you which you need.
Window cleaning →
Storefronts cleaned around trading hours. Footfall, not floor area, sets the price — a store sees many times the daily traffic of an office the same size.
What retail cleaning costs →
Front-of-house dining rooms reset overnight, on a schedule that fits service. Kitchens and grease-bearing areas are scoped separately and priced separately.
Restaurant cleaning →
High-touch, high-sweat environments where disinfection is the service rather than an add-on, and rubber and vinyl floors need the right chemistry to survive.
Gym & fitness cleaning →
Customer-facing detail work: mirrors, glass, stations and hard floors, cleaned to a standard where a smear is a defect rather than a nuisance.
Salon & spa cleaning →
Large-area floor work, dock and aisle cleaning, and waste handling that has to comply with the city's commercial waste zone rules.
NYC commercial waste zones →
Multi-thousand square foot floors where crew size and route design matter more than any single cleaner's speed. We state the cleaner-hours in the agreement so you know what you bought.
What office cleaning costs →About These Photographs
These are licensed stock photographs of commercial spaces of the type we service. They are illustrative of the work, and the people in them are models rather than our staff — we will not present stock photography as our own crew. When we publish photographs of our own people and our own accounts, they will be captioned as such.
What is not illustrative: every cleaner on a A-Z Manhattan Cleaning account is a W-2 employee who is trained before their first shift, background and reference screened, bonded against theft and loss, badged under their own name with your managing agent, and checked by a supervisor every day.
