What People Actually Need Same-Day Service For
- Their incumbent did not show up. The most common call. If it is a pattern rather than a one-off, there is probably a contractual remedy you have not claimed.
- A water event — pipe burst, HVAC condensate failure, sprinkler discharge, roof or window leak.
- An unexpected visit — investor, board, auditor, landlord inspection, prospective tenant tour.
- The morning after an event.
- Illness or outbreak response.
- Construction dust intrusion from work on an adjacent floor.
What to Do Tonight if You Are Stuck
- Call your managing agent first, not a cleaning company. Ask what a new vendor needs to gain access and how fast they can process it. That answer determines everything else.
- Ask whether the building's own janitorial contractor can take supplemental work — they are already credentialed, which makes them the fastest option even if they are not the cheapest.
- If it is a water event, establish whether it is clean water or contaminated. Contaminated water is a licensed restoration job, not a cleaning job, and calling the wrong contractor costs you a day.
- Document everything with timestamped photographs before anything is touched.
